Dimitrios T Karamitsos

Author

Dimitrios T Karamitsos was born in Thessaloniki in 1941. 

  • He graduated first in his class from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1965. 

  • He specialized in Internal Medicine at the University Hospital AHEPA, Thessaloniki (1970–1973). 

  • He completed postgraduate training in Diabetology in London (1974–1975). 

  • He was appointed Full Professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2003 and held this position until 2008. 

  • He is currently an Emeritus Professor of Medicine. In addition to numerous medical publications, he has authored six scientific books and nine non-medical ones. He has also published many letters and essays in respected non-medical newspapers and magazines.
