Ljupka Palavestra is a Serbian American poet born in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina in

1977. She has a bachelor’s degree in art and a master’s degree in mental health counseling.

She worked as an advocate for people with mental illness. She has two books of poetry

published in the Serbian language. Ljupka worked on the translation of Stefan Visekruna’s

poetry for this book as well as did some of the illustrations. She lives and works in Buffalo,

New York.
